The kids had breakfast on the plane.
We could not figure out customs and they just waved us through when we mistakenly entered blue lane. Ooops. No one wanted to deal with us apparently. Cannot blame them!
Then off to the taxi stand. We got a taxi van. A bit of traffic, and Irish driving customs are definitely their own thing. We arrived at StayCity Aparthotel Christchurch, where we immediately went to our room. I had booked the travel night and told them we would not arrive until 7 or so in the morning, but I wanted to be able to collapse because I did not think A. would do well and indeed we were all grateful for the respite. I ate my pb&j emergency sandwich for breakfast. We all got up in time for an early dinner at Porterhouse Brewing Company Temple Bar with R.’s cousin and her partner. Tasty house Plain Porter, and I also really liked the Redbreast 12 year. Others were drinking 4X. The brownie desserts were popular. I split a bang bang cauliflower and a loaded dirty fries, both vegan, with S., and I also had the vanilla vegan ice cream which was a little grainy, probably rice milk. R. finished other people’s ice cream.
