T. is at summer camp, so no martial arts.
The piano teacher wasn’t feeling well, so no piano lesson.
But that is okay! There are still things that need to be done!
On my list today: print out the next school calendar to post on the board. I would not normally mention this, but it turned out to be surprisingly difficult. R. spent a lot of time rebooting networks repeatedly to get everything to play well together. He did succeed. I printed the calendar and put it on the board. I also printed some other things. So, yay!
I answered some email — the library has new people, who want to talk about the book group, which is great. They are supportive! Also, I really should try to figure out when that book group started, because next year is the 20th anniversary of it. Whoa, right?!? I also have been working with a long-time friend on some difficulties they are having, and that generated some paperwork as well. But it is going really well, and I am super impressed with the friend’s persistence and diligence in working through some very difficult stuff. Also, it is a healing process for me, because I kinda wish someone had done this for me during my first marriage. That is in the past, but my friend is in the present and I can help them, the way that I wish someone had helped me, and that feels really good.
I took a long nap. It was awesome.
I caught up on Alex Wagner, since I was away from home for a couple nights.
I made zucchini bread.
I walked in the morning with M., before it got hot. It is taking its own sweet time cooling down this evening, tho.
I’ve had a list of charitable donations to do sometime this year. I wanted to get to it well in advance of December, because the holiday season can get kinda busy. Christmas in July, amirite? Ok, maybe not. So. Many. Glitches. Partly that was because R. was silently rebooting the network repeatedly. Part of it probably was legit problems with websites.
Also, I tracked down Euros and Pounds, and made a plan for getting a bit more before a trip later this year. We don’t use a lot of cash, but I do like to have some, especially since I just never know whether our cards are going to work in a given destination or not.
