Because we had not stopped for gas, the tank was below a quarter tank for our morning departure to drive to Lost Caverns in Hellertown. The road was windy and hilly, after we stopped for gas, so we heard that horrible grinding noise a lot.

I had previously thought maybe we’d go to Drip in Hellertown for lunch, however, we got out of the tour at 11, and nothing was open for a while (and Drip is closed on Sundays anyway, my bad), so after a fruitless conversation about possibilities, we split up. Once I was sitting down and looking at my trip Note, I saw that Quakertown’s Trolley Barn Market had great choices, and was open. So I texted the group saying that’s where we were headed and were on our way. My sister’s group decided to join us, without first getting food that they were in such a hurry to get, but you know, that is kind of how these things go and at least this time I made my decision promptly and effectively.

I had a tofu chile bowl at the poke place (I know I should have had the tuna, but the tofu bowl looked good and I wanted to try it. It was pretty good.). I got A. a chicken sandwich at the beer place. B. and I went over to Doan’s and had a flight, and I bottle a bottle of the 95% rye. So that was an enjoyable outing all around. I think T. got a slice of pizza.

After the Trolleybarn outing, we went back to the hotel to decompress. We had dinner at the Station Taphouse, which was great. While there, I made a plan to get a rental car on Monday morning, and I also had R. set up a service appointment on Monday morning for the van, to deal with the grinding noise.
