Sunday: we return home, etc.
Nov. 13th, 2022 01:59 pmA. and I had breakfast, packed up, stripped beds and removed trash and then tried to check out. I mostly failed, but left the keys at the desk with a note. The drive home was without incident, altho I took 95 instead of 495 and so missed one exit and had to pay more attention because more cars. Altho better drivers, on the whole. There is no end to the nonsense that occurs on 495 in Massachusetts.
I heated up leftovers for her lunch and made myself a stir fry. I emptied the car. I made blondies. I started laundry. R. took A. to the pool for a swimming lesson (with him, not a formal one). I’m almost completely unpacked, other than needing to move the laundry along.
I’ll hopefully get a walk with M. soon. T. drove himself to a friend’s birthday party in Woburn (which, when I type like that, I’m just thinking, wow, this is a lot of driving, really. But okay!).
I did not bring the sourdough crock on this trip, partly because I didn’t have any blueberries, but mostly because the loaf of bread I made that day turned out so well I had high confidence I could make toast with it for breakfast. So I brought it with and it did not mold and it made great toast. I left a third of the loaf with R., who ate all of his part. I could have maybe left him a bit more — there’s maybe a quarter left from the original loaf. I left the crock in the fridge, so I’ve fed it and put it out on the counter to warm up.
ETA:
The kids got their bivalent. I finished the laundry. T. did family zoom. A. had her portal playdate. I soaked in the tub. Fun day!
