Saturday: routine AND housecleaning!
Aug. 27th, 2022 01:44 pmI posted before departure that housecleaning was a priority upon our return, but did not then actually get around to much / any until today. However, I had been working to get the cords off the floor in the master, to make it possible to robot vacuum that room. In the event, I had to stop it repeatedly because of other problems; I really have to tuck the carpet fringe under in order to run the Eufy. There is still one batch of cords that has to be lifted up and then returned; I’m still trying to figure out what to do there.
I asked T. to get part of the hallway when he did his room, which he did.
I rinsed out the tub and dusted there as well. I got a lot of the dust around the tv and stereo equipment in the room. It’s _noticeably_ better in here now.
I took T. to martial arts and Vic’s. A. was up already but we are out of waffles and down to a single egg. I made her a couple pancakes and put one in the fridge for tomorrow.
Now, T. and R. and I are working to help him figure out how to get his plans on the shared family calendar so that he knows about them and we know about them and everyone can see them whether at home or out and about. So that’s good — he has a bunch coming up because of Verge runs and Unified Basketball, and he wants to try to get a job but I firmly believe he needs to NOT double book work and activities. Thus, calendar. This is a lot of growing up / parenting, and I lost my temper because I had not thought it through _at all_ and I was just trying to get my room clean and got way too deep in interruptions. I apologized.
There’s always a lot going on at the transition from school to summer, and then back, and I don’t love all the details.
