Thursday: no walk, reading, daughter’s hair

I did not walk today. That was not intentional. I didn’t sleep great last night, so I slept in, and then by the time evening rolled around, there were thundershowers. I read _Resolute_ by Jack Campbell, which was really fun. Also, I washed A.’s hair a couple times. R. trimmed it extensively. And by the end of it, I could get a comb through the whole thing. A fine toothed comb. Amazing.

This all started because A. was poking around at the top of a braid and was like, there’s something sticky here. And I’m like, yeah, that’s because your hair hasn’t been _thoroughly_ washed in a really long time and you never let me brush it out completely any more. So. I washed it in the sink. Then I brushed it. Then R. trimmed it. Then we washed it in the shower some more. And I combed it all the way out. It looks fantastic now, and feels great. So. Much. More. Hair. Matted. In. That top couple inches had not been brushed through in …. A really long time. I think the swimming wasn’t doing that any favors, either.
