Sunday: family zoom shenanigans

I asked R. to thaw the beef shoulder / teres major. His niece was coming over for a visit, and we had chicken wings in the fridge, but I figured two choices would be good. In the event, we ate the teres major and it was yummy. We had it with a salad, and mushrooms / onions / bell pepper.
I walked with M. earlier. A. had her virtual playdate in her room, using the Go, since it overlapped with the arrival of her cousin and thus it was going to be noisy.
T. gave his cousin the tour, as she hadn’t been over to the house for several years. She texted her mom saying make sure you go to family zoom, she had a surprise. The surprise, of course, is that she was at our house for family zoom. However, my SIL apparently was trying to figure out ahead of time what the surprise could possibly be, and the idea that her daughter was here was apparently nowhere on the list, but a pregnancy announcement was. I’m still chuckling.
She’s a lot of fun to talk to; we need to make sure we invite her over again, because she’s good company.
