Saturday: Epcot Day 1, Shula’s Steakhouse
Feb. 19th, 2022 10:00 pmI had a theme park reservation for Epcot already, because I’d hoped to get to at least go into the World Showcase for a snack after arrival; since our arrival day moved, we had a full day. We got on Ratatouille first thing, which was delightful again!
It’s a little hazy now in my mind what we did this day vs. the next day, because we did Epcot two days in a row. Between the two days, we did: Soarin, Gran Fiesta, Living with the Land. We had lunch at the foot court in the Land, Sunshine Seasons. We did the Figment ride. We bought some stuff using the mobile checkout at the new flagship shop. We even got on the Frozen ride, which we hadn’t done in a few years. We took lots of pictures and were very relaxed.
It was very nice to walk in from BCV! Altho the route we took in did not reverse, because that exit was not an entry. Boo! We went to the Marketplace and got A sunglasses, among other things.
Dinner was at Shula’s Steakhouse. We met one of the families we will be doing this with, and they bought us dinner. We had our own corner, which was very pleasant. The food was good — I had tuna tartare and a salad, altho funny to be eating a bunch of vegetation at a steak house! We got a bottle of the La Crema that we had in the 12 Days of Wine, but the Russian River instead of Sonoma — I’d buy that again. It was quite drinkable. I’m not a big steakhouse fan in general, but I’d happily return to this chain, as I would to Ruth’s Chris.
