Happy New Year!
Jan. 1st, 2022 11:00 pmI’m not going to wish that this is better than the previous year(s), because I feel like that just jinxes things.
I was sure happy that I came home on the 31st, given how flight cancelations developed over the course of today. I’m unsure of the final count — I lost track after 2500. It was a combination of the usual 1000 flights canceled because of a midwestern snowstorm knocking out Chicago, and a whole lot of covid related staffing issues.
The house was in great shape when we got home. I went to a lot of effort to ensure our departure was relaxed enough to get everything cleaned up before departure, because I figured we’d be pretty tired after 2 weeks, and honestly, I wasn’t sure what disaster would develop.
I walked with M. It was good to see her again.
Lots of holiday cards in the mail. That was a delight.
Oh, and I somehow wound up with the wrong USB drive for the cruise photos (not the Shutters photos). I’m in the process of trying to get that fixed.
