Saturday: the usual routine
Nov. 6th, 2021 11:00 pmPiano lesson was yesterday, so that was a little unusual, however, this morning was martial arts and Vic’s. We ate at the counter at Vic’s — all the tables and booths were full, and there were takeout people coming in, and a line. Almost up to pre-covid crowds. It’s a little weird, but feeling pretty good about it.
R. got boostered today. I’ll get mine tomorrow. Super exciting! Also, this is the Fall Back weekend, so an extra hour of sleep and easier to get up for the next week-ish. I’m sad, because we used to always take our fall/early winter trip to Disney this upcoming week to coincide with the Fall-Back, but with the kids and their cousins all in jr hi or high school, we really can’t be taking them out of school like that any more. Last year obviously we didn’t, but we are not this year, either. But that’s okay — we’ll get back down there soon.
I’m binging The Equalizer, the new one. I used to love the old one Back In the Day, and even tho a friend gave me season 1 of the old one as a boxed set of DVDs a while back, it just isn’t the same now. But wow, the new version is wonderful. It took me a little while to watch the first two episodes, but I finally just bought season 1 on Amazon Prime and it is fantastic. The actors are all great. The costuming and hair is amazing. The plots are good. The fight scenes are compelling. I just love everything about this show. The layered lies in Robyn McCall’s family are especially delightful. I am looking forward to how that develops.
