Wednesday: frames
Apr. 14th, 2021 08:44 pmMore frames! So I think I now have all the InPrints of the Baylor sisters (1) and Aurelia Ryder (2) up in my office. My daughter thinks the cover art from Blood Heir is Super Cool, which confirms my suspicion that this particular decorating impulse is _very_ much too young for me, and yet, I do not care. I missed doing sf/f art on my walls in my younger years and there is no time like the present for doing the things you wished you had done sooner. Aurelia in her Princess of Shinar mode is where a holiday Hilda was; the cover art is behind the shelving units. This all cleverly conceals the incredibly cheapness of the frames (these are small poster sized, so I bought cheap frames and acrylic “glass” for all of them on Amazon).
I walked with M. She gets her first shot tomorrow! Along with her dad getting his second. So exciting!
I did the long walk by myself.
A. was so wiped out during PE that the instructor called the district and they did a wellness check. She is fine. She just struggles to self-regulate at basically everything. We’ll presumably get it all figured out Someday.
I opened up the Star Wars Droids Lego box. I’ve switched to green on the Treehouse leaves, and dismantled the Medieval Blacksmith to send off to my friend K., so Time for a New Kit! I rearranged the top of the cabinet I bought a few months ago, so it now has the police station, the white house and the tree house. Wow, are those all three different scales! Looks pretty awesome, tho, and the white house is low profile and does not block the painting above the cabinet. So there’s that.
Farm pantry and mushroom share arrived today. I had a mushroom frittata that failed and sort of became an omelette because it stuck on one side of the pan. Oh well! It had fantastic mushrooms, a slice of miyoko pepperjack plant-based cheese (that’s really good stuff and it even melts), and brussel sprouts. Basil, pepper, you know the drill.
