Tuesday: walk, phone call, good news!
Dec. 8th, 2020 03:43 pmT. continues to work on the 500 piece puzzle.
I walked with M., masked, and she did NOT come indoors.
I learned that the exposure to an exposure situation has gone the Yay way! The person who was exposed has tested negative. She has one more day on her 10 day clock, but has had zero symptoms and a negative test on day 5 so I think everyone downstream of her (all of us and potentially my walking partner and her family) are in the clear.
I’ve been feeling kinda grim and thinking about just saying, yeah, no one in the house but us or people wearing masks for the next 40 days, but now I am feeling kinda like, okay, the pod worked, it’s fine, just make sure everyone continues to communicate.
I had a delightful phone call with J.
ETA:
I might forget this, so might as well post it so I can remember.
Exposure was on last Sunday of November (if only we had taken that break from T-day to second week of December that I had originally planned!). Test was on first Tuesday of December. Parent of testee / daughter of person exposed came over to my house to pick up (contactless) Lego Hogwarts. On Tuesday. I was not told then that child was being tested, by the mother, or the exposed person. Exposed person on Wednesday took care of one of my kids (no masks), and on Thursday the other of my kids (no masks), and told me Friday that Tuesday’s test was positive.
I do not know if the mother of the kid did not tell the exposed person until Friday OR the exposed person did not tell me until Friday. But believe me when I say, I will be listening to see if that little nugget of information is ever exposed.
Straight up, if everyone did things the way I do, there would be none of this, “I have no idea where I got it.”
