Saturday: martial arts, office changes
Oct. 3rd, 2020 03:50 pmI took T. to martial arts.
T. is having some problems with his school issued Chromebook. We did a test zoom to see if we could reproduce the problem (really awful microphone sounds). We could. I did some checking for interference and then had R. reboot it. Nothing. We tried the chromebook in a different room, and also on a different network. Same problem. We reported back to the teacher who said he was having trouble that we could reproduce the problem but could not fix it. She checked in with school tech support and they gave us a link to report the problem but also suggested maybe the volume on the mike was maxed out. It was! Altho she sent us a link for how to find and adjust the mike volume and that link was private. *sigh* Anyway, T. found the setting, corrected the problem, and now the zoom works without the awful noises. Yay!
I emptied the bookcase with doors in my office and R. brought it back upstairs. I mostly emptied the other bookcase and moved it into where I had the other bookcase. Then I reloaded the case I was keeping in my office with things from both, and loaded up bags to go to donation of the rest of the books. I also took this opportunity to move the last of my CDs along. This was all very exhausting, but necessary because the Globe-Wernicke flat file is arriving today. I vacuumed the areas previously blocked by furniture. It all looks way nicer now, especially since the Lego Disney Castle is now within the Lego Disney Train loop with the Lego Disney Train Station. Also, the Luke and Leia swing across scene. I may leave the castle on the train board; you can actually play with it there, unlike on top of the bookcase. Of course, now all the holes in the wall above the bookcase are visible, so I will have to do something about that.
