Thursday: strawberries

Yesterday, I went online and looked up how Tougas was doing strawberry picking. I had not missed it completely! I made a reservation for 7:30, altho I got there closer to 8. It was not too hot yet, and not crowded at all. As I was leaving about 40 minutes later, it was a lot more busy coming in.

I did half a row. I got a tray, and got more than a layer into it, but definitely did not pile it as high I would have liked. Crouching down wore me out a lot, and I decided I had enough strawberries.

R. had gotten A. breakfast, but not gotten her hair done, teeth brush or exercise, so we were behind when I got home, and there were meltdowns later. But we muddled through.

I also roomba’d 2 bathrooms and the upstairs hall, cleaned 3 toilets, vacuumed the rugs in the bathrooms, had A. show me how to use scratch and helped her use the bitmap editor in scratch to design some sprites, did laundry, made some dinners, and cooked the strawberries down with some citrus rind and sugar to make either quite thick syrup or very thin jam, depending on your perspective and desire at the time.
