T. is much better. He understands to take a lactaid pill when he has a milk, and we have yogurt again so that should (over time) help as well.
A. had a zoom scheduling conflict. She wanted to attend a talent show AND do her meeting with T. and S. for social skills or whatever that is called (whatever it is called, she loves doing it and has fun, and this is the last meeting of the year and will involve ice cream), but they overlapped. So I sent email asking T. if it could be rescheduled and it was, so now she gets to do both and is happy that rescheduling was possible and easy. Actually, that is a social skill, too!
One possible explanation for some of T.’s difficulties (if it was not lactose overload) is that he has been eating his meals out on the porch and imbibing a bunch of pollen along with. There is a layer out there on everything. So today, when he wanted to have lunch out there, I said, nope, I need to vacuum first, and then I did. I eventually took a break to finish making his lunch, which he then decided not to eat on the porch because of a very light rain. It is a covered porch. I do not ask questions. I did eventually finish vacuuming it, including all the furniture, under all the furniture and the wooden rails. It is not perfect, but that was the most visible difference from cleaning I have seen in a while.
The plumber came out to fix the hot water shutoff valve under the kitchen sink. R. had used it (both, actually) so he could take apart the kitchen faucet and make it stop squeaking. That was successful, but then the hot water shutoff valve could not be turned back on again. This is not unexpected; it is a common problem when using something that has not been used for over a decade. Well, most of a decade for sure. I had called and left a message last night when I realized we needed help. They called at 7 this morning, and the plumber was here before lunch, which was nice. He was very nice — they have facemasks with the company logo on them (cloth, obviously). Very snazzy! We chatted briefly about how things have been going. Apparently the company furloughed people who asked for it because of being in high risk categories, but kept their vans exactly as they were so they could come back promptly. They paid some hazard pay, and everyone but the owner was off for about a week early on, but other than that, things are going really well, everyone is back, and customers are being understanding and it is all going well. Nice to hear!
