Sunday: a really, really pretty day
May. 31st, 2020 02:57 pmIt is a beautiful day!
I went for a walk with M. this morning. I had put on shorts, but it was not even 60. Sunshine and green, but cool! I wore a jacket. It was delightful.
I later went for a walk with A. However, in between, I drove (I know! Shocking!) A. and me to Maynard. We went through the McDonald’s drive through. They were out of cookies and gogurt, but I got an apple pie and she got a 4 piece nuggets with chocolate milk, extra fries, ketchup. We drove back to Acton, and continued through town while she ate her fries. We stopped in the Acton Memorial Library parking lot to set her up with ketchup to dip the nuggets into, then drove around town, then over to Concord, then through Carlisle and eventually back home. I have never seen that many people playing golf at the golf course at the intersection of 27 and 225; R. says this is because the gyms and fitness clubs are still closed. I suspect it is also because they are not playing golf in resort locations, but who knows!
Anyway. After we returned, we walked around the block, then I got out the classic lego box, where we also store extra pieces, and I started building a house. She put together a fish from the little booklet, then added ocean. I figure that counts as Art, so I took a picture and sent it in to her art teacher.
She is now watching youtube videos about minecraft again, which is completely fine with me.
It was very exciting to drive around and look out the window. As A. puts it, we have gotten a little too familiar with the inside of our house.
