I moved the Disney Castle to my office and miscalculated a turn. I then had to reassemble it. Ouch. R. helped get it to the top of a bookcase; it fits really perfectly there.
My uncle died earlier this month. His zoom memorial was today, which I attended, so I wound up seeing a lot of people I have not seen in a decade or more and some I have seen only a few times in the last 25 years. Weird experience. Normally, I would not have been able to attend this memorial, as it would be difficult to travel; now, of course, no one can travel so we all get to do it remotely. This is kind of a win.
We did Puzzlescape Hudson’s 13th Floor virtual escape room. We have enjoyed their regular in person experience, but of course, we cannot do that now. We had not intended to ever do this room, but it was a ton of fun! I really enjoyed it. It is one of two they offer virtually, and we did the other one right before shelter in place started, in person. They are virtualizing Alice next. We shall see if something else is added virtually. I may try another place, too, that does these virtually. It is pretty cool!
Finally, I attended T.’s 22nd birthday party. It was a mask party, and while not everyone wore a mask, of the people wearing a mask, mine was far and away the least cool — everyone else had on animal heads and they were awesome. Along with a green screen, a microphone and a webcam, I will add an animal head mask to the list of things I should have owned going into shelter in place and yet somehow mysteriously failed to acquire. Nice to see T.’s uncle S. — we are FB friends, but have very limited contact and I have not seen him in person in a really long time. This was nice.
