Sunday: official school starts tomorrow
Apr. 5th, 2020 11:00 pmWe got email (parents) and so did the kids. I took a solid look at the plan, and T. seems to be fine. A. should be okay, will continue to require more monitoring / motivation (unsurprising; she has an aide at school for the same reason). I have some questions about how to interpret the PE choice board, but the Monday plan is pick something from art or PE choice boards, and art has sculpture using any of a long list of things including MagnaTiles as an option, which means Play With MagnaTiles!!! Sweet! She is also supposed to read a fiction book, and I am not that impressed by a lot of what we have around the house, so I am going to inflict Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle on her, because I looooovvvved that book when I was young.
I need to figure out a way to build the MagnaTiles so the picture looks good when we take it to send it in / upload it through Artsonia. Maybe just build on the bare wood floor instead of the rug. Colder to sit there, but we can get out blankets or towels to sit on and then remove them for the pic. Or we could devote a table, but those are never big enough.
We thawed a package of ground pork and one of ground beef, made a burger patty for A. and then meatballs. And by we, I mean, R. I did the sauce (should have had way more chopped veg for the mirepoix in the tomato sauce. Ooops.). Leftovers, too! A lot of our meals have had few or no leftovers, or only leftover sides; we have enough meatballs we can have an entire meal together and probably still have some left -- we are thinking meatball subs.
I started reading the book group book, because that is tomorrow night.
Lots of people took showers today and I washed A.'s hair. It seems to be actually down to her waist at this point.
