Friday: school? rain, cocktail hour
Apr. 3rd, 2020 09:41 pmI had a visit but no walk with M.
The kids had assignments from school. They were labeled optional, and at least one was only in email not on google classroom (from A.'s librarian). This led to a Discussion about what optional means (basically, it means that since we are not ill, and since we have great equipment and I am available to assist, nothing is actually optional, if it is a specific assignment you do it. Links to enrichment without specific items to submit do not count for this purpose.) They do not seem to mind; they were just confused.
It was raining.
I set up a cocktail hour on Zoom! It went great. We had 6 participants (me, R., MB, NDK, EW and RB). Lots of fun! I felt great after. Yay! The men were slackers, but the women dressed up fancy.
We downloaded Just Dance 2020, so that will be for the weekend; A. and R. tried to figure out which Sonic the Hedgehog game to start her on.
I also did a test Zoom meeting with M from book group. J. from book group sent email saying she had used zoom successfully for a museum thing, so I think we will eventually get to have a book group meeting on zoom. Very excited!
