New type of day today!

No, seriously, I have never had a day really at all like today. It was like a week of cancel, a massive incoming weather event, Y2K and a few other odds and ends all combined together.

Swimming for A. was canceled after auto confirming, then confirming with the instructor. So, that is done for two weeks.

Track for the rest of the winter session canceled.

School for tomorrow and next week canceled.

Other places are a lot more dire! King / Pierce / Snohomish schools out for over a month. Good luck out there!

Merrowvista was canceled, removing an item from my todo list.

Another limit down at open, and down more. We are now well into bear market territory and people are officially predicting two quarters of negative GDP, so an actual recession.

The feeling I often have of living in some kind of bizarre, charmed circle is particularly strong right at the moment: we traveled in February and have no plans to travel in April. T. is in a classroom this year that will actually attempt to do telelearning for the week and more he will be out. A. is reading Snow Treasure and remembered to bring it home today, so she has something to work on. I am going to try to set up FaceTime calls with family and friends, just 15 minutes, one in the morning and one in the afternoon ideally, to help make this time at home feel connected and meaningful.

R. and I have gotten so tired to hearing about people hoarding TP that we have now openly started advocating using peri bottles instead. That will not ever run out, right? Altho you do need to remember to allow time to fill it with warm water before you need to use it otherwise that is some cold, cold, right where you do not want it.

Get lots of sleep, and remember that at least for now, you can still go for a walk while maintaining social distancing.
