A. went to school; T. stayed home. R. and I went to lunch at Sichuan Palace in Westford. Always a pleasure, I stopped before I was overstuffed and had the leftovers for dinner.
I put A. on the treadmill, because other than swimming, she is not getting any exercise (no walking to or from school when it is icy; I will not risk it currently, and she hates the cold). The hand grips to measure heart rate were always sketchy and stopped working entirely a year or more ago. R. got them to work briefly, but could not repeat it; he also got the heart rate to work with the strap. So he is now taking the grips apart, and discovered crushed wires. He is attempting a repair. We shall see how this works. While this is not a crucial (or recent) failure, it is the primary thing that causes me to periodically shop for a replacement, so a fix would limit the possibility of me having a moment of poor impulse control and just buying one out of sheer aggravation.
I had a long, leisurely and highly enjoyable convo with K.
