Thursday: Happy T-Day!
Nov. 28th, 2019 04:39 pmWhatever you may or may not be doing today, it is T-day! It is Thursday! It is also Turkey Day. It can be Thanksgiving. Whatever you want from the day, I hope that you are getting it. What I want for you is for it to be low stress. But if you want stress, you do you!
We had a small group at home (5 — my MIL joined us). It has been delightful. We had turkey, cranberry relish, gravy (cornstarch, because MIL cannot do wheat), kale, mushrooms (yellow feet? Something like that. Never had them before. Tasty!), sweet potato, squash soup (had coconut milk this time!), brussel sprouts (with onions! Because R. hates brussel sprouts so we can put onions in them!). The kids had fries. A. had chicken nuggets. Apple crisp made with oatmeal flour awaits in the oven.
We opened a bottle of the ruffino ducale. While cooking, we had a lindemans peche (which was fantastic). Somewhere in between I had a perfect manhattan with nocino.
I had a walk with M. I booked a DVC stay at Hilton Head for my sister to join us for part of our trip. I washed a lot of dishes.
