Tuesday: no piano lessons, rack of lamb
Nov. 26th, 2019 04:48 pmI brought T. his inhaler in to school in the middle of the day to give him a dose. I had to go twice, because I forgot the inhaler the first time. Oh well!
I went to pick up the beer box. I also went to Whole Foods to buy a turkey and assorted vegetables for side dishes. I got a box of vegan donuts and a box of vegan chocolate chip cookies and a couple bars of dark chocolate while I was there. Nice life!
Piano lessons were canceled, so we could be leisurely with the rack of lamb for dinner. That was an impulse purchase from when I bought the chicken to roast on Saturday for our previous visitors. We had experimented with mint jelly, but I undershot on the sugar and on the homemade pectin. Oh well! We had a delightful, clingy mint sauce instead. Tasted yum. I cooked the spinach we did not eat over the weekend — dosed it up with bell peppers, tomatoes, bacon, dates, tamarind paste. I did not want to use vermouth out of deference to a guest, altho really it would have been fine. Oh, and I used some fancy mushrooms. Very tasty!
