Sunday: Epcot, Turf Club
Nov. 3rd, 2019 11:00 pmWe went to Epcot for character breakfast at the Garden Grille in the Land Pavilion. It is Chip and Dale and a few of the clubhouse characters. My sister really wanted to do it, because if you get out quickly, you can ride Soarin’, maybe more than once, with no wait and no FP. It did indeed work.
The allergy accommodations for us worked great. My husband did not go with us, so I cannot speak to how they would have handled allium, and T. did not go with us. The rest of us were there, so I can confirm they handled dairy and pork allergies (tricky at breakfast!) with no problems. We even got mickey waffles! We rode Soarin’ twice, front row both times, center second time. Very nice experience!
Some of us had lunch at Rose & Crown. They have a beyond meat-substitute based shepherd’s pie which was excellent. We did Test Track (FP), Nemo (standby), Figment (standby, I think). When we went to do Living with the Land on FP, it was down, so A., Priestess and I bailed and went back to the hotel to rest before dinner. We took the bus back. R. dropped us off going in, then went to pick up his bike and go for a ride.
We went to Turf Club for dinner and that was phenomenal. Quiet, excellent food, wonderful allergy accommodations, good bar. It truly is an underappreciated gem.
ETA: Some of the group went to Coral Reef and had a great time as always.
