No walk with J and no explanation until much later; she got a job at a hospital and started shadowing at 7 am. !!! She will have 3 night shifts a week; I doubt I will see much of her but we shall see! She is pretty committed to continuing to walk to avoid completely losing track of all self care, but I personally think sleep is more important and will fully validate that trade off.
I had a nice walk with M. I got a candidate call towards the end of our hang out time.
I had a long, interrupted call with J. He told me about the Joker movie; really interesting, set in a sort of 1980s, with de-institutionalization and then budget cuts further dropping support for people struggling with mental and emotional health, overlaid with current era / batman invention eras in which there was vast wealth inequalities and associated social unrest.
Piano lessons today!
The interruption for the phone call was A.'s school telling me she was unhappy with her pants. The waistband kept rolling over. I brought in three choices, including the purple ones from Costco with the wide waist band. Those worked, but were too hot for PE. I left shorts with her to change into, but she felt like she did not have enough time. Oh well!
I did a little shopping online; I think I have found the pants version of her favorite shorts, and the next size up in the costco pant. Fingers crossed.
I also ordered some winter gear for my niece and nephew. I never get to see them, so getting to buy them things is pretty exciting!
ETA: Great convo with K. in the evening!
