I got a walk with M. in the afternoon; it was not raining at the time. I drove to pick up A., because I did not trust it to not start raining. She went off to Altitude with the sitter and then dinner at 110.

Meanwhile, T. came home. I had a brief(er) convo with J. about a couple of really interesting stories he had from the past that seemed relevant to a discussion we have been having about people being people-y. They are both stories from about 15 or so years ago, in which male coworkers of his behaved in ways that I feel confident would have gotten them a passive-aggressive and/or circuitous negativistic personality disorder diagnosis. I mean, one of these characters would go into J.’s office, lean against the wall as if he was going to ask a question, pause, say, “Never mind” and then leave. J. eventually worked out that he was doing this so he could fart in J.’s office. !!! A third coworker told T. that the farter really enjoyed complaining about J. hijacking conversations in the hallway and then, when J. became aware of the irritation (not by being told — J. is actually able to read non-verbals better than I can) and worked hard to stop doing the irritating things., the farter complained about that, too. I mean, seriously!

I really am starting to feel some affection for the schema approach to this sort of stuff.

I took T. to track. Yay! Then I took him to Subway because that is what he wanted for dinner.

My car failed in running its maintenance cycle on the rex for a new reason: low on fuel! So I put one gallon in it, which filled the tank, and am now waiting for it to retry. Fingers crossed.

I vacuumed my car. Minor chores are winning vs. the fact that I could actually finish up my taxes. Oh well! It is nice to have a cleaner car. I also put all of T.’s track related activities on the calendar, along with a few other odds and ends.
