We went into the park, and A. and I walked all the way to the back of the park to do Laff Track. Then I checked messages, and got confused, got unconfused, and after a lot of back and forth, agreed to go to the grocery store to buy groceries for my aunt in the hospital (she had gone home, but then returned and was readmitted and had understandable concerns about whether and when they might get around to feeding her, based on what had happened on previous stays). Anyway. So A. and I left after Laff Track (which along with buying popcorn and getting a picture of A. next to the Lemon place where we get the popcorn was all we had really been committed to doing anyway). We drove to Giant and got groceries (if anyone can figure out where the hell they keep the rice cakes at that Giant, I am still wondering I asked so many people and no it is NOT in the cereal aisle. Not that I could find anyway). By the time we got to Hershey Medical Center (conveniently close!), they had ended her NPO order and even supplied a gluten free meal for her, so we successfully murphied the hospital into feeding her. Also, she now has fruit, nuts and other things to snack on that are healthy and diet compatible.
By this point, it was time to return to pick up the male half of our party (my sister’s family left earlier to go to an animal place, and then drive home) at Hershey. We got them, and started home, but by now it was 2 pm and A. and I were starving. Fortunately, snacks! And equally fortunately, the males still had water (we had drank all of ours). We stopped at a Loves about 40 minutes into the drive and got food at a McDonalds, then did not stop again on the way home. We got home a little earlier in the day than we got to Hershey in arrival day, but still pretty late.
I forgot to mention: we brought the Xbox, and hooked it up at the hotel so A. could play. We got it hooked back up at home so she could play at the end of the day too. Kind of awesome, that actually works, altho you do have to figure out how to supply network login credentials, A. and I figured it out between the two of us.
Great trip. I would absolutely do other rooms at the Escape Room. I love HersheyPark. The men liked the brewery. I want to go back next year, rather than wait two years, since we no longer go to the New Hampshire parks. Hershey has a mix of rides that works very well for my kids currently.
ETA: The sourdough was in the fridge from Monday midday to Sunday night. I pulled it out, opened it up and went uh oh — dark brown liquid. Smelled fine, tho. I stirred it up, fed it, and put it on the counter, and it looked fantastic and started bubbling up beautifully.
