No sitter today, so T. and I went to Julie’s for lunch (on bikes) then drove to Jos. A. Banks. He wants an outfit to look like a politician and have a photo taken. Fine, we can do that and everyone should have a weddings and funeral and whatever fancy outfit and he has outgrown the last one over the last few months.
So we got him a blue blazer and grey slacks, and a white shirt and a purple paisley tie. I figured, while I am here, might as well fill out the kit so he can look nice at various levels: a couple polos, 2 short sleeved button downs. Also a couple pairs of socks and they freaking had penny loafers that fit him which was amazing. Partway through this he got overwhelmed and started yelling at me. It really was a day of meltdowns: me losing it because he interrupted the get A. out the door on time process, me losing it at him because he would not stop remonstrating with me about the route I chose to get to the store, and then finally this.
It all worked out and now he has nice clothes for various occasions including a bunch he can wear to school or whatever. He will out grow them almost certainly, but at this particular size, they will also fit R., so we know who they get handed down? Up? Over? To next.
His Thor costume and Harry Potter robe arrived for theme weeks at camp, so I think that is all taken care of except maybe sunblock and a soap dish.
He has broken the crystal on his Watch. Again. We are going to order bumpers for the new one.
