I had great conversations with J. and K.
We went to Woods Hill Table for date night.
Date night almost did not happen. T. had a rough bus ride home, because someone else was having a temper tantrum on the van. Then he and the sitter had a blowup, after the sitter finally checked in with the gymnastics teacher and determined that the last few weeks had not been consistently "fine" (I really do not think that anyone should ever trust a kid to report accurately how an instructional session went. I mean, if adults get this wrong routinely, why would a kid be accurate?). He has really been struggling with ear congestion from allergies, and it has been tough getting that stabilized with consistent antihistamines. His sleep has been disrupted, his mood has been uneven and he has had some serious pain on occasion. I told him he has to quit trying to blow his ears clear, because I think that is where the worst of the pain is happening and he could damage something.
