Driving to Price, then Salt Lake City

We got up, had breakfast, picked up more cookies at Moonflower and stopped to get T. more aquaphor at Walker Drug and then drove to Price. We did not stop at the Arches Visitor Center. My sister’s family left earlier and went to the dinosaur museum since they had not been able to visit it on the way down (closed on Sunday). We all met at Granny J’s for a delightful diner experience — I got the BLT and English fries again and they were every bit as good the second time. A. did not like her hamburger, but ate her side of bacon which was subbed for the fries. She had ice cream — included in the meal for everyone apparently. K. put away a 14 ounce steak and looked like she would have eaten more. I offered her a second, but she declined. We drove the rest of the way to SLC, checked in. My sister’s family went swimming and conked out. We hung out. R. put the ski rack back on the roof of the van. We had Thai takeout (Thai This) for dinner. A. had snacks. My sister fed T. pasta.

R. had been sniping at T. about his Fox News watching habits, and T. wanted an explanation, so I laid out the anti-abortion, anti-woman, racist, violent and cruel underpinnings of the right wing, and then we ultimately watched some TRMS together. Weird and painful, but hopefully this will bend the curve in a better direction.
