Sunday's Activities Include: Hovenweep!

My family drove down to Hovenweep. The kids were super excited and did not give me any time to stop and deploy umbrella, remove clothing, drink water, eat. It was infuriating. This is precisely what I had been afraid would happen. I take everyone I love to the southwest and it makes me hate them. I did mostly get over it after having a meltdown. We had bought Subways in Monticello or Blanding (I think the latter) and ate them in the parking lot picnic area after doing the loop. I still love Hovenweep.

My sister's family arrived around the time we got back to Moab. We had dinner with them at Eddie McStiff's. They McStiffed A. (could not produce a completely plain chicken breast. Booo! First it came out as a sandwich. Then it turned out it was marinaded. Sigh. Bob’s meal was crazy late.

Rachel, A. and I went to City Market (Kroger’s) for groceries. It was a little stressful, because she way overloaded the bags and was unaware there was a risk they would fail so I was really worried there was about to be a huge mess.
