I got an iPad mini. I have owned these before, but switched to the Pro mini (which is the larger size, but not the extra large size) when the first Pencil came out, because I wanted the Pencil, and I wanted the better keyboard integration. I had a lot of problems with Bluetooth keyboards that unpaired randomly at inconvenient moments.
The mini works with my Pencil. It does not have the better keyboard integration and it does not work with my old mini Logitech cover, so I bought a cheap Arteck keyboard cover. It is surprisingly good. The keys are tiny and the layout is a little odd (I think the worst of the odd layout is the fact that you have to use a function key to access the apostrophe), but other than that it is not particularly offensive (a little clicky, tho).
The mini itself is adorable. The screen is responsive and beautiful. The whole setup makes everything around it look graceless and gargantuan. I was initially thinking that I would wind up going back to my laptop more, but I’m no longer certain. This may be almost an effective laptop replacement, at least for travel purposes. Which would be amazing.
