Lots of stuff arrived today! The box spring encasement, the pillow encasements, the diatomaceous earth, really large ziploc bags. A. did not get any new bites last night (pillows washed but not yet encased, mattresses encased, bedding washed, pjs washed) but I got a few. So we took the mattresses off, got the vacuum out and went after every single conceivable crevice in all the affected beds. We put diatomaceous earth in the center section of the interceptors, in the improbable case that a Super Bug climbed out of the moat.
It’s nice to be able to bag stuff after laundering it (especially bedding) and seal it up. But I’m also doing that with clothes just to belt and suspenders it. Still waiting on the last mattress encasement and I still need to find a place that will sell me dry ice.
It is amazing how much dust there was in and around the beds. We really need to do this more often, just from an allergy perspective. I’ve been able to mostly stop taking Zyrtec as we go through this process, which is sort of amazing.
