Today, I stayed home. T.'s track in Lexington was pre-emptively canceled along with lots of other things that don't affect us. T. wanted to see a movie, so R. dropped him off at the Fine Arts Theatre in Maynard. He saw Spider Verse again.
I made a peach coffee cake with a jar of canned peaches that had been sitting around in the pantry for quite a while. It is very tasty.
One hates to say a thing like this until a storm is completely over, but very few people seem to have lost power in the state in this particular storm. So that's something.
I did a mile on the treadmill. I had a nice phone convo with R., who has recently discovered the joys of reading comic books on Hoopla (?), through Seattle Public Library. Yay! I've never been particularly into comic books, but I know she was sad to take a break from them, because she couldn't afford it and also there is a sort of build up problem, but she's super happy to have a way to get back into it.
I also had a nice conversation with my sister, who is exploring in-state long-weekend vacation options. Good for her! These are some of the most fun things to do as a family and are truly underappreciated. Sure, you can do a lot of them as a long day trip, but it is fun to take a few days and poke around and enjoy the restaurants and the calmer ambience away from the city.
I did not get A. on the treadmill today. Bummer! But she was hard to budge from in front of the TV, where she is binge watching seasons of Teen Titans Go!, after watching Teen Titans Go! to the Movies a couple times.
