T.'s swim lesson was canceled. I don't have the rescheduled date yet. I'm assuming his instructor and/or family is ill.

T. had an MLK related writing prompt, and he unfortunately picked a topic that was very inappropriate and upsetting to me, his best friend at school, and probably a bunch of other people. Politics! When he got home, I explained to him that he was going to be redoing the Graphic Organizer for the essay, and then redoing the essay. I took a picture of the resulting graphic organizer and sent it in. The sitter had him write the essay based on the organizer.

I find moments like this agonizing. Explaining politics is hard. When middle schoolers and autism is involved, it just does not feel like a reasonable activity.

I walked to pick up A., which was a nice walk for me, but endless complaining from A. We made a deal, since she hates walking when it is below 40 and windy (can't really blame her for that!) that she doesn't have to walk then as long as she is willing to treadmill the equivalent. She does not currently have any other physical activities. Hopefully, this will at least keep her in shape for upcoming vacations which involve walking (national parks, Disney, etc.).
