Tuesday’s Activities Include: Date Night! Cake, phone calls

It was a great day! I walked with M. A. went to school despite the sniffles. ETA: A. And I went to Concord Teacakes after school to pick up her “Happy Winter Holidays” dolls cake. No party — she wanted a cake, and I figured if we’re going to order one, let’s just get something super cool. We looked at their pictures on the website, and she wanted the holiday doll cake. The red dress is super gorgeous. A. went with the sitter and her brother despite the sniffles so R. and I went to Battle Road in Maynard. I had a pulled pork sandwich and ate the whole thing and the baked beans on the side. Generally speaking, this is too much food, but I’ve been eating light and was kind of starving. I had a 2 hour phone call with J. and an hour plus with K. Really fun!

We also got a cancellation appointment for T.’s orthotics. He kept interrupting, and the current take away is to try over the counter stuff first. They do like his Rockports and emphasized, once again, stretching. *sigh* I keep trying to get some kind of gait training and not succeeding so apparently I need to come up with something myself. At least he isn’t stomping the way he was for a few months. Might save his cartilage decades hence.
