We packed up this morning. A. and I went in to Universal Studios. She wanted to ride Gringott’s, which we did, and then she did single rider on. We tried to get her Dippin’ Dots, but the three locations we tried (by Fast and Furious, by Minions and in CityWalk) were still closed, and we did catch someone arriving at the CityWalk location but she wasn’t going to be open for a half hour.
We got gas, returned the rental car and three of us (not T.) ate lunch at McDonald’s at the airport. Then we went through security. Unlike previous years, when T. has really asked a lot of questions and raised a bit of a ruckus at security, he was super well behaved, listened to announcements, read signs and complied with all instructions promptly and without asking questions. Could not ask for a better traveler going through security. I am so proud of him, and so pleased to see that the strategy of talking it to death ahead of time worked so well.
My sister was at the next gate over, so I visited with them for a bit. And then they flew out and we flew out and got our bags and went home. T. got a box on the plane, but then tried to skip dinner and we had an argument about that, but other than being very tired, everything went pretty smoothly.
We had the same driver both ways and I just adored him. We got to talk food all the way home, and that was especially nice and really put me in the mood for Thanksgiving.
