The sitter came and T. had a good time playing at the Y and having dinner at Via Lago! Yay!
M. is unavailable for walks for the next few days, so I made a point of getting out by myself in the evening. I should have done it twice, but I’ve just been a little wrung out lately. I had T. do some exercises from PT yesterday evening, this morning and this evening (or delegated it, as the case may be). This is going to be a bit of a slog, but there is incremental progress on compliance. I’m trying to figure out how to explain what the goal is.
A. and I had an indoor day. I ran Eufy in the master bedroom and Roomba in the kitchen, front hall and dining room. I really need to go grocery shopping; I’m going through things that I stored in the freezer when departing on various trips. Usually that stuff gets horrible freezer burn and gets tossed later, but apparently the magical process that has led to a remarkably empty yet always a few meals available fridge has progressed to include the freezers as well. Go figure. I basically go grocery shopping when the fruits and vegetables are all gone. We could keep eating, but I wouldn’t like the results.
I had A. try on a bunch of her shoes, and that enabled me to unpack the results of the Famous Footwear outing. Earlier in the week, I sent her warm weather sleepwear off with R., because there was no way that was going to work in a few months. I also had her try on the leggings (women’s S/M in various sizes) I ordered; she liked all of them, and they work well with her existing t-shirts for length, so I think she’s mostly set up for school.
A. has been asking to use the footbath lately. I probably should do that; it seems to be softening up her feet. Maybe it would help with my calluses too.
I caught up on TRMS from being away. It’s been a helluva few days in political news, and then simultaneously the markets have been on a tear. I have no idea what to make of it, other than to note that Labor Day almost always brings some sort of a reset, so I guess it’ll change shortly.
The weather has been less hot and unpleasant, which is nice.
