After telling them in no uncertain terms that they should call me if there was a problem, camp called. I brought A.’s fidgets in (she had forgotten them that morning, after saying the day before she was stressed and thought she needed them). That helped, and when K. arrived in the afternoon, they hung out and she had a much better time. I’ve been really impressed by the people running this camp.
T. and R. went to see Arcade Fire. It was a good show. A. and I had a nice quiet evening at home.
Because I had book group on Monday, and because A. decided she wanted to go out to dinner on Tuesday (and I was eating leftover tuna salad for Tuesday lunch), I hadn’t cooked any of the Sun Basket meals. I cooked one (the parchment sole) for lunch and another (the turkey sliders with slaw) for dinner. I segregated the allium, so that the other serving of each (which I saved either for me the next day or R. if he wanted something to eat) would be allium free. I currently am only ordering from meal kits if I can find 3 meals R. and I would like to eat, and which have very minimal, easy to leave out allium. This is currently working out to one meal kit a week, with some weeks having no kits.
I had a walk with M., and I took a walk by myself right before that. I’ve been poking through drifts of paper (they develop so much more slowly these days) and dumping most of them into the recycling bin, and extracting bits here and there to be filed.
