Tough getting up on DST day! But better to get up on Sunday than put it off to Monday. It’s really bad on a school / work day.
The horse was canceled, because however bad the storm damage around here / in Boxborough, apparently it was a lot worse in Chelmsford. They only _just_ got power back, and there are still a ton of roads closed near the stables. Yikes! Both kids went to track, and A. is signed up for the 55m and 100m next Sunday for the meet (I picked the two shortest events — I _want_ her to enjoy her first race, so she’ll want to do it again. You know, unlike ever athletic anything I did until my 30s). She got a t-shirt, and the very lovely woman who is Verge said if she comes great, if she doesn’t that’s okay too. She has been so kind about letting A. do track whenever she doesn’t have the horse — and given how many horse cancelations there were, that wound up being doing track except once or maybe twice. And in the spring, A. will by able to do Boylston track, after the horse, which is great!
T. and I went to Julie’s Place for lunch. R. got a walk. Then I walked with M.
T. borrowed my optical drive (external) to watch a DVD of video from NVUB. It didn’t work. But it did prompt me to think about whether I wanted to redo any more of my setup, now that I’ve turned over so much of it to my son. I think I’m going to let him keep that drive, and get one that only has a single connection.
