Today was a rare event: an early release to due expected weather!
I went grocery shopping at Whole Foods, because, french toast emergency (yes, I bought bread, but no eggs or milk). R. wound up stopping at Roche Bros on the way home, because A. decided she wanted peanuts and we didn't have any in the house except the chocolate covered ones in the "moose poop" bag from Santa's Village. Which is, I think, where she got the idea she wanted plain peanuts.
I made myself a Boulevardier, decided it was a little too dry, and added a luxardo cherry. That was good, but when I decided a few hours later to have a second drink, I switched back to a Vieux Carre.
I cooked some mushrooms in vermouth and nocino (and some sesame oil). They were really tasty.
T. had his swimming lesson but gymnastics was canceled. They went to an early dinner and then he came home because the sitter wanted to get home before things got really nasty. I don't blame her a bit.
