I went to HG today to see if they would take T.’s trunk (chest? Footlocker? I don’t know what to call it when it is fabric over some kind of pressboard pieces). They were very happy to take it — storage furniture that can also be sat on is apparently a really big deal. I probably should have expected that. Bookcases are the one furniture items that always sells quickly used, and it is a similar principle.
T. had a makeup swim lesson from the week he couldn’t swim because his ear was plugged up and he was a little dizzy. His zipper got stuck on his coat and he wound up coming home so I could deal with it — the sitter and him struggled with it for 15 minutes. I had him take the coat off over his head. This coat seems particularly prone to this problem. I wind up having to take the zipper pull off entirely and put it back on.
A. had a half day. We made banana bread. (Yesterday we made blondies.) I had a walk with M.; A. called me twice via Alexa during the brief time we were out walking to find out when R. would be home and when I would be home. She really wants to play Portal 2 on the PC upstairs using the test chamber she created. She spent a few days watching YouTube videos to learn how to create test chambers. I don’t know how much she did on her own vs. how much was paternal assistance (I have no opinion — I just don’t know).
I had a nice phone call with J. I watched a bunch of Bloomberg. I’m still irritated that Fios and Bloomberg have not managed to come to terms, because running the video off the website to the TV means I can’t rewind using TiVo. Other than earnings season (ha ha ha everyone who thought AMD results were going to be terrible), I’ve been carefully avoiding listening to Greenspan (not entirely successfully — he has identified two bubbles that we currently have going, and neither of the ones he identified is crypto currency related. Yeah, he’s not old at all) and Bill Gross, which has forced me to occasionally find other entertainment. Probably the most fun news lately has been just how bad Einhorn’s choices were. I would say “recently” except this has been going on for a while.
