It snowed. Kind of a lot. We did not lose power. We slept in (the kids do presents on Solstice). I started prepping side dishes after breakfast. We had the main meal at around 2:30 or 3. R. cooked the ribeye roast and we ate more or less all of it. I made home fries with bell peppers in the air fryer. I made brussel sprouts again in the air fryer. We had salad and cole slaw again. We had the baguette sliced, with tomato-olive oil-basil. My sister cooked green beans. And we had the two vegan pies from Whole Foods (apple and pumpkin) for dessert. The apple was finished off; there is still a little pumpkin left.

Since we ate so early, and I didn’t have much pie, I came downstairs later when I remembered there were still donuts in the house (vegan ones I can eat from Whole Foods). Mmmm.

Sad that my sister is leaving so soon, but we had a nice visit and all the kids got to play in the slow, which was pretty awesome. And no one got hit by the avalanche of snow that came off the solar panels, some of it while one of them was playing in the backyard. It startled her, but she was far enough away from the house that she wasn’t hit by it. Yikes!

Oh, and we did genealogy! I was working with B. on his mom’s side of the family. R. was working with M. on her family. Fun stuff!
