We got up early (like, 5:30 a.m. early) to go to the airport and fly to Orlando. SUV pickup was uneventful. JetBlue flight was uneventful, altho we got the smaller plane. Fortunately, the G-Ro fits (sideways) in the overhead. I wasn't entirely sure if it would. We retrieved R.'s checked bag, picked up the rental car (white Rogue, which I really like driving) and drove to Epcot.
We got to try the new Frozen ride: Frozen Ever After, in Norway, which is Maelstrom rethemed. Ride vehicle, architecture, etc. is unchanged, and the theming works really nicely.
We had dinner at The Wave (we stayed at BLT). This was sort of a mistake, since it was a 6:30 dinner to accommodate the FastPass for Frozen. The Wave is pretty busy on a Saturday at that time, and we have food allergies, so it took a while to have a chef come by and get through the whole ordering process. I had the noodle bowl; R. got the beef. Both were really good. We got out of there after 2 hours. And something went wrong with online checkin, so we hadn't gotten room notifications. I eventually went by and asked and they needed a credit card (I entered one -- don't know what happened).
Room was fine. Garden Grocery delivery arrived perfectly. A surprisingly smooth start to the vacation. I texted back and forth with my sister, also staying at BLT, but we didn't meet up until fairly late and then only briefly. They went to MK.
