Friday's activities include: taxes, drive to NH, Common Man

In some ways, it was a disappointing day. R. attempted to file the taxes and more errors showed up (why can't error check find these?). We had dinner at the Common Man in Concord, NH, and I ordered the Uncommon Manhattan which has both my preferred vermouth (antica) and my favorite cherry (luxardo). But it didn't have a luxardo cherry in it after all; they were out of them downstairs. Had I known, I would have asked for a twist. If I'd been thinking quicker, I would have pulled it out before the drink was poured. *sigh* Still charged the $10 for a drink that _really_ was not worth all that.

But in other ways, it was one of the Very Best Days Ever. We got super lucky and Columbus Day weekend was actually peak color in New Hampshire. Fantastic vistas of fall foliage, followed by a pleasant stay in a rental house that was super, super quiet once traffic settled down.
