Today's Activities Include: Storyland
Oct. 11th, 2015 09:55 pmToday, R. went for his bike ride. An hour at near-peak color! Pretty cool. I hung out with the kids, and then we went to Storyland. If I'd been thinking, I probably would have taken them swimming, but I didn't think of it for a while and then it was kinda late.
Storyland was a little busy, but fun. Some things were closed (the raft ride, obvs, but also the Oasis, which was a bummer, because we like eating there). No problems with ride photos this year. R. was rushing A. when we headed to Roarasaurus, and A. fell down and skinned her knee through her pants. We didn't get a stroller this trip, and she was lobbying for one after that, but we managed to distract her.
We left around 3, and got back in plenty of time for a swim before dinner at Applebee's. I was surprised how crowded it was before 5 p.m., and then it wasn't as busy later as I expected it would. Traffic was kind of a nightmare; R. says he saw a lot of RVs covered with pine needles and other indications of having been in one place for months on the move.
