Daily Activites Include: Clearing shelf space

I took a shelf out of one of the downstairs book cases so there would be more vertical space to store the photo albums/scrapbooks/binders full of people that I've been working on. Now, the crate I was using to transport photo crap up and downstairs contains a surprisingly small number of items that will need to find a home on some other book case. So that's cool.

I'm also through the majority of the work on the binders, at least until I find another batch of things to include and/or get the paper so I can start including some written information describing what is in there.

It is nice to have reached a stable stopping point, and to have binders I can take down and share with people, should that impulse arise.

Do Not Mock the Elder Gods: Photos, Cards and Scrapping Edition

Hubris is alive and well and I have committed it. Revenge has been taken upon me.

Here's what happened in words of few syllables. I thought, hey, where's that picture of the wonderful woman I named my daughter after, who I'm hoping to go visit this summer. For that matter, where are _all_ the pictures from that trip to Europe. Hmmmm.

I had previously thought, hey, where are all the Xmas cards from two seasons.

And then I thought, hey, where are all my travel binders?

Well, the travel binders are in a crate in the basement; I yelled at R. when he found them and told him to leave them where they were. Of course, neither of us can now recall exactly where that is, but I'll find them. Later. I'm betting all the Netherlands pictures, including the one of my dad's cousin A., are in there.

As for the missing cards (and now I know why I found so few wedding cards and no cards for T.'s birth), I've found a stash of them in a crate holding up the scanner. Well, it was holding up the scanner; now there's an empty crate holding up the scanner and the crate is downstairs waiting to be decanted into some binders.

*sigh*
