One More Reason to Despise Jared Diamond

Buried in here is a link to a paper by Dr. Benny Peiser. I have no mortal clue if any of this is true, but it certainly sounds about right.
_Guns, Germs & Steel_ struck me at the time as right on the squidgy edge of being racist. I'm not thinking it wasn't on the squidgy edge at all -- it dived right in and swam with the bad guys. I had a lot of issues with _Collapse_, more so after I tracked back through some of his sources/influences (Tainter, notably).
ETA: Peiser has issues.
