Friday: walk, Fancy Friday
Aug. 13th, 2021 11:00 pmI got a short walk with M.
Everyone but me had a piano lesson with F.
Unfortunately, the sitter and T. had a traffic accident (low speed, no one hurt, as near as anyone can tell). Sitter is now driving her daughter’s car (had to switch after the accident). No one told me until the end of the day. Yikes.
We did Fancy Friday, which was delightful. All the people in Washington State are miserable because in addition to the heat, there is a lot of smoke. R. had the brilliant idea to go home, fll the enormous (two person, very deep) tub with water, put on a swim suit and sunglasses, and join Fancy Friday from there. With watermelon and a beverage. I would never have thought of it, but sooooo brilliant.
A. and I had to go rescue R. because his bike broke down. Once again, in or near Bolton. *sigh* He went to the bike shop to get a new wheel, got talked into a replacement part, but the part was wrong. So he’ll have to go back tomorrow. He was in a pretty foul — understandable! — mood as a result.
I caught up on some school related email. A. and I went to Staples to buy a few things (notably, the calculator she is supposed to have was on a really good sale there, and I figured while we were there we could get everything else, which we did). T. already has his chromebook, so I think I can safely ignore that email.
