R. had a much bigger reaction to this shot than the first one. That is not unexpected. Localized inflammation, and all over pain and a fever. Of course one is tempted to go, oh, no, covid, but the localized inflammation makes it hard to sustain any hyperventilation.

I got a walk and an indoor visit with M.

T. went with the sitter. He went to his swimming lesson. They went to Roche Bros. to get him some yogurt (he was out and snow is tomorrow).

Everyone but me had a zoom piano lesson.

I put up a tree (purple, prelit) and fairy lights (purple) in my office. It is quite surreal in there. I moved the Echo Flex to the wall in the master between the bathroom and my office; it is set to turn on the tree, the fairy lights, the office and bedroom floor lights whenever there is motion. Everything is turned off if there is no motion detected for 45 minutes. The motion activated turn it programmed only for hours I might be intending to be awake (yes, I thought of that ahead of time!).

When I leave my office, the rest of the house looks super restrained for a while by comparison. But then that feels normal, and I go back to my office and the office looks surreal again. It is a fun contrast!

I went over the Sunbasket menus that are coming up; there’s one early in January that actually has a bunch of stuff we can eat. That’ll be fun; I hit skip for everything else.
